The American Businessman Harvey S. Firestone, creator of the Firestone tires that bear his name, stated it in 1930: Success is the sum of details. This is particularly important in communication and I say it openly. We are always on the search for the “big event” and the “big things” and we forget about the little things, and it’s the little things that really matter the most at the end of the day. Taking care of the small details is essential. Your audience is the most important thing and it should always be kept in mind that each person counts.

In all our communication exercises we should always think about Plan B. That means being ready to react in case something goes very wrong at any time. And now what ?. Plan B is an important part of a good preparation. It makes you feel confident, helps the team to react quickly, and above all you convey the powerful feeling that you have things under control. Nothing better than being always well prepared.
